Buyer be warned Travelstart extorsion

Verging on ******** behavior from Travelstart. Obscured processes and decisions with unfair deadlines and demands ************ tactics can be expected when dealing with this travel agent. Never again and buyer be warned.

Booked an Airlink ticket through them. Airlink were not flying so I inquired what to do. First off the bat massive cancellation and change of flight penalties. I argued the point and re-booked a flight for 10 months from now. They came with a reasonable offer. Now for the catch. They email me a payment link on Sunday morning with a 4 hour demand for payment before the payment link expires.

Obviously out and about on a weekend the payment link expires. I contact them via chat on the Monday, as you can't speak with someone over the phone or keep an email thread going as they all reply from no-reply. The agent advises I missed the deadline so it's now 4X the price from the day before. I object and only receive poor responses to my request for explanation and am told if I don't pay this next amount within the next hour I have missed it again and they will re-quote. Their idea of re-quote seems to be 4X the previous amount.

I have found my interaction with Travelstart to be rude and their process is painful and unclear. Be warned before using them.

I say never again and everyone I come across for the next good while will get my story. Good riddance to you Travelstart!!
