Beware of Pricing

Beware! They show a price in SAR - which you would think is ZAR, or South African Rand - but it's a Saudi Arabia currency. So you pay and then it take 3-4 times the amount from your bank! Be careful. I am working on a refund right now and hope they will re-pay.

Hi Gal,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I have assisted you via Travelstart Facebook and advised that you had booked via the Middle Eastern site and thus charged in SAR the amount which was quoted clearly stated SAR and as advised that you had been reverted to the correct booking portal due to not travelling out of South Africa. Please email your concerns to feedback @ Travelstart . com

Kind Regards,
Melissa

Reviewer Update
It was not clear at all - I have screenshots which I wish I could share my screenshots on here. I have booked hundreds of flights in my life and I've never seen pricing as sneaky as this. When I get my full refund, I am happy to update that you guys handled my concern.

Hi Gal A. Ezra,

Thank you for your reply.

As the booking was made via our Saudi Arabia website the flight was quoted in their currency:  Saudi Riyals: SAR which is mentioned during the booking process.

When paying via a credit card it will convert to the card currency as per the rate of exchange.  The ticket amount will reflect on your card statement as per the card currency.

We have responded to your email and escalated your booking to the Middle East team at:  help @ travelstart . ae

The team will reach out to the supplier to see what the refund amount  is due and then email a refund quote.

As all fares and taxes go to the airline we are governed by the airlines cancellation policy and need to quote according to their directives.

Kind Regards,

Marcelle
