Transmed is the worst medical aid ever!!!!

I have been with Transmed for over 10 years. Every year i have experianced their services and benefits dropping despite the medical aid rate increasing. The more i paid the less the benefits i received. It become worse year after year. Wanted to switch to bonitas, however something will come up and will not be able to make the switch.

In September 2017 my medical aid was suspended despite making payments. In the 10 years i have been with the medical aid, not even once did i skip payment. When i enquire i was told the suspension was due to the payments not being made. I followed up through my company and I was told the medical aid comfirmed reicept of the payment. No apologies and no one was able to advise what has happened. I was then promised that any cost incurred to date will be refunded. I did submit. The claims around october 2017 and to date I am still waiting for the promised refund.

In Feb 2018 , they have deducted double for my monthly payments again no was able to explain what has happend. I was then promised that I will be refunded on the 02 March 2018 (ref # ********** 05). Come the second of March i was not paid. I followed up again and I was told my refund will definitely be paid on the 09th March 2018 (Ref# ********** 30) again on the 09th March I was not paid. Once more a followed up on the 13 March 2018 (ref # ********** 79) i was then told the delay was due to them waiting for approval from finance . I was to that the refund has now been approved and payment will be made in the 16 March 2018, the lady i spoke to promised to send me proof of approval. I waited and nothing was sent. On the 14 March 2018 i then called again (Ref # ********** 01) to follow up on the proof of approval which was promised the previous day. I was then told that they r still waiting for the approval from Finanace. I am not sure that the hell is happening at this organization, but i have had enough with their lies, lack of integrity and poor service. If you are looking for a medical aid, please stay away from this mediocre Transmed medical scheme. It is the worst and now i understand why same of my colleagues left it. Now my kids r starving, I dont have money to go to work and spending airtime listening to more of their lies. Im done, time to move to something better.
