Stucked with city to city bus

The bus is stucked in the middle of nowhere after Alwal North which is almost 1-2 hours to Bloemfontein they are telling us that we must wait for a machenic to fix the fan belt, the machenic is coming from Bloemfontein which means we must wait in the middle of nowhere, bere in mind we are travelling with kids that are thirsty and hungry. And also we are going to work tomorrow. My question is why must we wait for a machemic coming from Bloem only, where as they can send us another bus and mechanic leave with the faulty bus.
