Shortcut Translux Culture
I was traveling to Bloemfontein from Durban on Sunday 29/07/2018. My experience began when trying to book online... They expect you to make your payment using their own system providing your Internet banking username and password (pretty sure at your own risk). Secondly when I got to Durban Station there was a long line with one teller. To stand in this long line to be told when it was my turn that the swiping machine isn't working and that the bus is about to leave so I must hurry. I had to run up two flights of stairs and back. When I go to the bus eventually I sat in seat 35(window seat) Firstly one of the air vents was broken so I noted it was mended with Sellotape and Paper. The footrest was broken. This makes you wonder if the busses are properly maintained by this "big company" cause clearly they have a shortcut culture. To make it worse they switched of the ever so noisy air conditioning in Bethlehem in the early hours of the morning. This whole experience reminded me why I stopped taking translucent a couple of years ago... I came down with intercape for the same price and got much better service all round...!! Makes you wonder if their bench marking or even conducting feasibility studies around them. Maybe their doing their customers a favor.
