Bad service, non roadworthy buses

I took a City to city bus from PE to CPT, the bus was schedule to arrive in PE at 07:30 but it only arrived at 8:45, no one even bothered to tell us that the bus is delaying. Now bus is stucked in Swellendam which is almost 3 hours to Cape town they are telling us that we must wait for a machenic to fix the fan belt, the machenic is coming from Cape town which means we must wait in the middle of nowhere, bere in mind we are travelling with kids that are thirsty and hungry. My question is why must we wait for a machemic coming from Cape town, where as they can get someone in Swellendam or sorrounding areas
