Warranty

I recently contacted East Toyota(Eshowe) to enquire about my clutch that was slipping and heavy oil leak out my rear main seal on a 2011 Ford Ranger 3.0 tdci wildtrak that I had purchased from them 10 months prior.

Upon delivery of my newly purchased vehicle, the same problem was experienced with the clutch.

As I did not accept the vehicle in this condition, the relative parts were replaced and it was on its way to be re delivered to me. Whilst in transit for the second time by the salesman, another vehicle rammed into the rear on my vehicle causing more damage and another few weeks in the panel shop.

Third time round,my veihcle was finally delivered.and I accepted it as the deal had already gone through and all documentation was signed almost a mnth prior.

10 months later(present) I am experiencing the same clutch problem and very same oil leak. Less than year and less than 10 000km later, still within its first service from date purchased.

I was told that the my veihcle was out of its warranty period(clutch). The best that can be done for me is for me to supply new parts and they will supply labour at no cost.

I find this confusing ,as I was at Ford (same owner) and thier system picked up that my clutch should still be in warranty.

I'm disappointed in the quality of service and lack of interest in me,as if to say the deal is done,it's no longer thier problem.
