Very poor service
Hi I had a very frustrating and confusing issue concerning car repairs at Toyota dealer (KZN Ladysmith), I bought a New Toyota Hilux 3.0 D4D in 2012, and in early 2015 I had a problem with my car showing that I can still drive about 200km and even the fuel gauge show the quarter tank full, but the car stopped and never start. My insurance arranged the tow truck which towed my car to Toyota dealer, and it was confirmed by the dealer that it ran out of fuel then they assess the problem which they assumed that it was the fuel gauge inside the diesel tank. I paid about R1800 to change what they assumed it was the problem but the problem persists up until they change all the speedometer component that costs me about R2000 more then the problem was resolved. I asked the service consultant that how come you assumed about the problem in the first place and what about my wasted money that I used to buy and replace the fuel gauge inside the diesels tank because it was not the problem, they never return back my money although it was their fault. I noticed that even at Toyota dealers they can't fix their cars but they assume the faults at owners expense. Secondly, Late 2015 the clutch was damaged of which the replacement was need then I paid about R11000 for a new one but the same service consultant confirmed to me that they do not have a genuine part from Toyota company but they only use second best Toyota clutch and that confused me since I was expecting an original part from Toyota company. Yes they replaced it with their second best part but afterwards my car had a very funny noise underneath, I took it back to them the following day and explain the problem to them and they assess it. They told me that the proper shaft was distabed during the clutch replacement so they will align it because it was their fault, yes it was align but not properly because that noise never went off completely but it went better than before with oil leakage in the proper shaft. Now the noise it's worse and when I explain the problem with the service consultant he show me attitude.
