Trauma with Toyota
I bought a brand-new RAV in November 2017. I discovered it made at terrible bang over certain bumps. Eventually it was discovered that the bolts on the torsion bar were loose -who knows why. It has taken me 6 weeks, 25 emails, 38 phone calls, 5 text messages, 22 outings in my car (all of which cost me diesel), and conversations with 25 different people – and the problem is still not solved. I have encountered many evasions and half-truths. It took me 4 weeks before I could persuade anyone to believed there was a problem with the car at all. I eventually had to involve a professional engineer before they were convinced. I have now discovered other bolts are loose in the wheel-well of the car. I have now written four emails to Andrew Kirby, CEO, and he has not acknowledged any of them – I simply get one of the 25 people contacting me. I have repeatedly asked for a new car, and have been refused. I have documentation of all of these interactions, as well as the professional engineer's report, and would be happy to share them with anybody.
