Toyota prado 2011

Hi I have a 2011 prado 3.0 d4d with 140000km. Full service history. Perfect condition. But it got a hole in the piston when i drove to durban. This is a problem on these prados that toyota know about. I gave 3 friends who had the same problem. Now toyota said i must pay R40000 to repair. But according to a few toyota dealers toyota sa is aware of these factory faults but refuse to open it to the public. How can i pay R900000 for a car with a factory fault toyota know about and when it breaks down toyota just pull there arms up. There is a recall on these cars but toyota plays it down
