Toyota NTT mokopane

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this with deep disappointment regarding my ongoing experience with Toyota NTT Mokopane and Toyota Intertoy Brits, concerning the purchase and service of my 2022 Toyota GL Quantum, which I bought in July 2023. This was my second vehicle purchase from NTT Mokopane and my fourth Toyota overall, demonstrating the loyalty I’ve maintained towards the brand — which makes this situation even more disheartening.

Four months after purchase, in November 2023, the vehicle suffered a radiator failure. It had just been serviced by Intertoy Brits, and shortly after began showing signs of overheating. I took the vehicle back to Intertoy Brits, who then informed me that the vehicle had been in an accident prior to my purchase — something that had never been disclosed at the time of sale. Due to this, they claimed the warranty would not cover the repair.

I immediately contacted NTT Mokopane, who acknowledged my concerns and stated they would liaise with the team at Brits. After weeks of back and forth, I was informed that the radiator had been replaced — however, no proof of this replacement was ever provided. I repeatedly asked for: • The old radiator (which they claimed was discarded due to warranty regulations), • The new part number, • The supplier code.

None of these were ever produced.

Now, seven months later, I am facing the exact same radiator issue. The vehicle is back at Intertoy Brits and once again, I’m being told the car was previously in an accident — a convenient shift in their story — and the warranty will not apply. They now claim the protective bar has a dent, which was never previously mentioned when the radiator was supposedly replaced. This raises serious concerns about the integrity of both the repair work and the initial inspection.

Key Issues: 1. I was sold a vehicle that had been in an accident — without disclosure. 2. The radiator has failed twice within less than a year. 3. The dealership and service center have not provided proof of part replacement. 4. The warranty is being denied on shifting grounds. 5. I have been left without proper support or escalation from either dealership.

As a loyal Toyota customer, I feel betrayed by the lack of transparency, poor communication, and lack of accountability. I am currently without my vehicle and have been for several days, awaiting a resolution that keeps being delayed. This has caused not only financial inconvenience but emotional stress as well.

I am escalating this matter to Toyota South Africa, the Motor Industry Ombudsman, and the National Consumer Commission, and I will continue to raise awareness of this treatment publicly until I receive a fair and just resolution.
