Toyota - leaving a VERY bitter after taste. What is happening with your Brand?

In April this year, i purchased a pre-owned 2022 Toyota Urban Cruiser 1.5 XS Auto with 26000km's. From the day we collected the vehicle, we noticed a gearbox issue. Vehicle was not changing from 3rd gear and the rev counter went up to almost 6000 rpm with no change in driving pattern. The vehicle went in for the 30000 km service and were told it needed almost 3 litres of gearbox oil with NO leak. Gearbox oil was filled and the issue remained. It went to Toyota East Rand where "software" updates were apparently done. Problem remained. Vehicle was taken to Toyota West Rand who then sent it back to Toyota East Rand. The Valve body was replaced. Problem persisted. We then took the vehicle back to the purchasing dealership. The vehicle again went back to Toyota East Rand only to be sent a letter stating there was no issues with the gearbox and it was driver behaviour and the vehicle was within the manufacturers limits. A few days later, problem still not resolved, we personally went to Toyota who tested the gearbox oil, which was burnt. So, the vehicle stayed AGAIN. Two weeks later, after no contact with Toyota, we made contact and were told the vehicle was ready for collection. We went to collect and were told they "forgot" to replace the CV boot that had a hole in it. So we waited. A day later went back, test drove the vehicle and low and behold, the issue is still there. The repairs were all done under warranty and with the repairs and parts needed, it was basically a brand new gearbox. It has now been another 3 working days and no feedback has been forthcoming. The purchase dealership has been very accomodating, and we are on our 5th loan vehicle since April. I thought by going with a reputable brand like Toyota would be pain free with no issues.....how wrong was I !!! We have driven loan vehicles more than the vehicle that was purchased. Toyota, I had high expectations of your brand, but sadly, this has left a very bitter after taste. I certainly wont recommend the brand to people I know.
