Toyota Genuine Part Obsolete on Camry 2008 model

<p>I went to Darrenwood Toyota for an alternator regulator part number 277008y002 as checked on the VIN of the car. The parts person wanted to order the part for me but said that it was obsolete and could not be ordered. He gave me Toyota SA number ********** and I duly phoned their customer services line and spoke to Khaya. He said that the part was obsolete and they are unable to help.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is Toyota who prides themselves on Service excellence and supply of genuine parts but can do nothing for a car that is not even that old. This is a 2008 Camry 2.20 GX bought expressly for the reliability and support. What do I do with a Toyota car that Toyota SA has no parts for........</p>
