Toyota alarm/immobilisors insufficient for SA

So my 30,000km 2020 Toyota Fortuner 2.8D Epic was ****** outside of Unitas Hospital. I parked it under a light, and away from otyher vehicles. I confirmed the alarm was armed & the doors (all 5) were locked. Yet it was still ******? In my experience then, the alarm/immobilisor installed in a Toyota is simply not up to the task of South African conditions. You need to ask yourself the question: if you are spending buckets loads of your cash on a vehicle, are you willing to get something that has virtually zero security?
