Toyota Air Bags did not deploy

A week ago (November 2017) I was involved in a head on collision with my new 2017 Toyota Aygo. I am grateful to God that I am alive, but I suffered a concussion, injuries and whiplash. Sadly my car is a write off from a frontal smash.

With such an intense frontal crash I was horrified to discover that my airbags did not deploy which led to my painful concussion. After been discharged from hospital I immediately called the Toyota dealer to have them carry out an investigation on the vehicle to understand why none of the airbags deployed. They declined and asked that I come into the dealership and meet with senior advisors who after looking through the pictures of my crashed car informed me that the car required more crash impact for the air bags to deploy. He informed me that "the car needs to hit a solid wall" for the air bags to deploy. I then asked him to show me on the pictures of my car where the air bag sensors are located. He noted that they are found in the front / side of the car. Both the front and side of my vehicle was completely smashed, short of the engine sitting on my lap.

I invested in a smaller vehicle with Toyota based on the sale points of its safety features with such things as air bags because there are no "bullbars" in the front to protect my family. I am appalled that Toyota would not take the time to investigate a serious matter such as this and that their only advice to me is to increase the force of my impact in order for "THIRE AIR BAGS" to deploy.
