Toyota 86 - New car is unfixable and Toyota customer care has been non-existant
I bought a Toyota 86 (2014) from Toyota as a demo-model, and after 4 years I lost both keys. Since then (2019), I have had the car back and forth trying to 'code the 5 modules' on the car as a means of using the car again. My car has been out of use for almost 18 months and has been sitting at Toyota Barloworld for 7 of those months.
In short, my car has been broken and sitting at Toyota Barloworld Tygervalley for 9 MONTHS! They never call me or inform what is wrong and they STILL CANT TELL ME WHEN I CAN GET MY CAR BACK.
I feel that Toyota should not sell to the public cars that they are not capable of repairing (mileage is 60 000km). I have been left destitute and without any form of transport, and Toyota have remained completely apathetic: no communication, care or attempts made to expedite. Supremely disappointed in the reliability and customer care from Toyota, who are not capable of giving me a date that they will be able to give me my car back or if they can repair it after almost a year.
It was under warranty when the problems started a year ago.
