sinoville toyota full of lies and unreliable
i use to belive that toyota south africa treats its customers with respect and honesty, hence we regard it as reliable but i guess i was wrong. toyota is suppose to support our strugling economy and assist in creating jobs. Recently the president held a job summit with all the role players from government, private sector and enterpreneurs and all supported this initiative. i'm surprised that after toyota and its partners bidvest and mccarthy group supported the initiative they don't treat their customers with honesty.
i operate a small staff and tours transport business with a fleet of 10 toyota quantums and a few german sedans and i employ 17 people. on monday the 15 oct 2018 i called sinoville toyota and i asked to speak to joel mo****di cause a friend recommended him when it comes to car parts but on that day he was busy and a guy called thabo assisted me, i wanted to buy engine rings for a quatum standard size, he told me that they don't have them in stock but if i can come and pay a deposit he can order them for me and i can collect the next day of which i paid R1500.
The next day i called to enquire if i can collect he told me he will call me back, he never called, in the afternoon i called again and he said i will get them by thursday, i asked him to check if other dealerships don't have them so i can go and collect them there, i offered that i will send my driver to any dealer if they have, he said no one has them. i called on thursday morning he said he will call me back he never did until i called again in the afternoon and he told me they have them on the stock they just waiting to be invoiced and i can come on friday morning.
on friday i called he said i will get them in the afternoon, around 3pm i drove to sinoville only to be told that i will get them on tuesday and i asked again to check if there is no other dealer who has them on stock, he again told me the same story. yesterday i called he said he will call me back (lies again) of which he never did until i called again and he said it seems i will get them on the 27 of october. i then called midrand toyota and spoke to paul who said they dont have them on stock but he will check other dealerships, after a few minutes paul called and said hydepark toyota have stock. i called hydepark and they confirmed, i then called thabo again and told him to liase with hydepark and i don't mind i will go collect them myself, he took his time, i called again and he said i can go there he will liase with them for payment. i left pretoria and when i was passing midrand he called and said apparently the dealership in hydepark its stil new and they don't have accounts as yet and i asked how possible is it that a toyota dealership can operate without accounts, he said i must come get a refund and go to buy them at hydepark, i was so dissapointed. on my way back he calls and informed me that my refund will take few days and i need to submit a bank statement for it to be processed.
i asked why must i submit a bank statement, i can just provide my banking details and he refused. i wonder if everybody gets such a treatment from toyota when it comes to parts or is it cause i'm black or cause i'm buying for a quantum he thought i'm just another taxi owner who did not go to school. as he stands there his the face of toyota and represent toyota and surely he got these training from them, they just want us to pay and then do the run around lying to us. EVERYDAY THAT CAR IS PARKED I LOOSE ABOUT R1500, THE DRIVER IS NOT WORKING, MEANING HE GET PAID, HIS FAMILY WILL SUFFER, MY BUSINESS WILL SUFFER OR I HAVE TO HIRE ANOTHER VEHICLE, WHICH IS AN ADDITIONAL COST TO ME. please assist me in these regards, toyota must liase with its dealerships and deliver myparts or refund me so i can go and buy them myself at hydepark toyota
