Shame on me.
I contacted Bruma Toyota asking for a part for my 1992 Toyota Corolla to be told that my VIN number is incorrect, and then after that, the part is discontinued. On questioning the sales man on how a part can be discontinued on a vehicle that currently still sees thousands of this make, model and vehicle still on the road in Johannesburg alone. Due to my insistence questions, the sales man said that he can contact Toyota South Africa, but sorry they are closed for the weekend. This is at 13h20 on a Friday. I called them and my experience got even worse. The gentleman informed me that he cannot help as he can only speak directly with a dealership. What nonsense, what type of service is this. I explained that I had spoken with the dealership and explained about my experience there and said I just want to know if you have the part in stock and the price and then I will obtain it through the dealership. But I was told that they cannot help me. This is just shocking. Bad politicians, bad customer service and from an international company I just did not expect it. Shame on me.
