Rotten Service at Monument Toyota Constantia

I booked my vehicle in at about 7 am on 3rd October for an oil change and a diagnostics test, the reason for the second being relocation from a lower to a higher altitude which I am informed negatively impacts on engine/fuel performance. I thus wanted this remedied. In the usual course of events, the client is advised with progress during the course of the day. At 2.40pm, the service manager, Ricky White, called and said that they had just started with the vehicle to which I had nothing to say. Yet, I had received two calls from two different people with regard to purchase of a new vehicle and another with regard to a window repair. I kindly refused both of these. Would I have had better service if I responded positively to the "sales calls"? When after 4pm I did not receive a call, I had to call and speak to Ricky White (service manager) and enquire about progress. He said that they were still busy with the vehicle and if I would like to leave the vehicle there overnight. I complained about the service I was receiving and that I would need the vehicle. I even mentioned that I would like to speak to the branch head office and he said that I could do so via the same no ********** . I again called the branch and requested to speak to Andre who is the manager of the service department. He was not available. I then called on Toyota South Africa and spoke to Khaya who said they could do nothing as the dealerships were privately owned. He attempted to put me through to Andre but this time the call was cut off. I called a 3rd time and again Andre was not available. I informed the lady I spoke to that I had already left a message for Andre. I was informed that Andre was not on the premises and had already left. Some management!!! I then requested to speak to Ricky White and after umpteen rings could not get through to him. I again left a message for Ricky to return my call. In the final analysis, it seemed to me that since this was an old vehicle, they deemed it not necessary to commence with work on it or that I was not a client important enough to at least have the courtesy of a call or calls to report on progress. Ricky then called at 4.55pm to say that they could not sort out part of the problem and that I could come and collect the vehicle. Very rotten attitude from Toyota in general. Needless to say, I will never do business with Monument Toyota again, nor recommend anyone to do so.
