RAV 4 OIL Consumption

After we bought our vehicle in March 2015 from Barloworld Toyota Automark, we experienced an abnormal oil consumption from our 2013 RAV4 2.2 diesel. After calling the Toyota Call Centre, they told us to measure the oil consumption through our local Toyota dealership in Sasolburg. They were open minded and measured the oil consumption over several thousand kilometres as 1.25liter per 1000km. After this information was forwarded to Fahim as our case manager, he told us that such a consumption is normal, but they would look into the case and come back to us on a decision to replace the engine. (The vehicle was bought with 29000 km on the clock for over R300k!) Since then (more than a month ago and lots of calls to the Toyota Call Centre, they are ignoring us. The car's warranty however expires in six months' time, which is a major concern for us.
