Problem with noise on New SC 2.4 GD6 4x4 RAI MT Toyota Hilux bakkie

Good day

I bought a new SC 2.4 GD6 4x4 RAI MT Toyota Hilux bakkie on 2021/05/06. After 15 km of driving when I stop at my house, I realise there was a knock in the engine. I took it back to Intertoy Toyota in Brits. I call the sales man Henry, and ask him to come and listen to my bakkie because I heard a strange noice. Henry was listening but he said he can not hear anything. So Henry called the mechanic, the mechanic said immediately that there was an injector knock. He also said that the injector had 3 stages, and the problem is at the first stage. He said I must bring the bakkie back the next day. The next day when I arrive they take the bakkie into the workshop, the mechanic plug the computer in, but could not connect to the computer in the bakkie, so he could not do any adjustments on the injectors. You can not do any injector pilot learning process on this vehicle (on this model). On the 2019 models it is possible.

So Henry said he will find out the next step what they are going to do to fix my bakkie.

In the meantime I made a few calls and the people of Northern Diesel (Leslie’s brother) suggest that I must phone Shaun at Northam Toyota. I phone Henry at Intertoy Toyota and he said that is the way that I must go. I spoke to the workshop manager (Spokie), she said I must bring the bakkie in, they can fix it. I told her that I was there and they could not connect to my bakkie, and also said that they do not have the equipment. So I refuse to take my bakkie back to Intertoy Toyota. (If they have the equipment to fix my bakkie, why did Henry suggest that I must take my bakkie to Shaun at Northam Toyota). I phone Shaun and he said I must bring the bakkie as soon as possible. At my arrival the next day at Northam Toyota, within 5 minutes my bakkie was in the workshop and my bakkie was connected to the computer. Within seconds Shaun showed me that nr. 1, 2 and 3 injectors supply the same amount of diesel. Nr. 4 injector was supplying much more diesel, and according to Shaun that was the reason for the knock. Shaun said I must give them a week to find out what is the next process. Within a week he phone me back and said I must bring the bakkie in for new injectors. After they put in the new injectors Shaun did the test again and the bakkie was 100 %.

There was still a compression knock at the first stage and the bakkie is still sounding like an old tractor on my farm.

WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE INJECTOR SYSTEM?

YOU MUST FIX THIS THING BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO COST YOU MONEY. I just want to thank Northam Toyota for their excellent service. I also want to thank Shaun for his professional service and for his knowledge. His knowledge is unmeasurable and Northam Toyota can be glad to have him on their team.
