PRICE FIXING low stock vehicles
I am in the process of buying a vehicle from Toyota Scottburg in Durban, it is a Etios 2019 and the purchase price if R200k. When i asked about the retail price the salesmen say it is GOLD stock and we cannot give the retail stock value and this is the price that we need to pay. Now that i am looking for insurance, the insurance company values it at R160k. According to Toyota DP the insurance needs to get rid of the retails book price cause that system is no longer valued. They also want us to signed the contract without insurance, not once did they ever ask about the insurance. I just want to be safe and get the car insured before taking ownership. I just want to know if this is the correct way of doing things.
