Payment of repairs on a new car

I am in awe on how I am expected to pay R8500 for a car that is 1year. I bought a Toyota Fortuner November 2017 and couple of months back it went to its second service. All was well until I noticed that my car doesn't want to move. I called them and........... I won't even go into the attitude I got from the person who helped me over the fone. Anyway, they called me now to tell me my clutch plate is burnt, the lady who called me said the clutch "gruip" not sure what does that mean because its an afrikaans word and I dont know Afrikaans and I told her that but she said she doesnt know the English word for it, so I continued to drive the car and it cause further damage and its not covered in the warranty, I must pay it. I am no mechanic and I know nothing about cars. I have driven my previous car, Kia Sportage for 9years without clutch problems until I sold it. Do you mean a brand new can have that kind of damage within a year or is Kia a better brand than Toyota. Don't they check these things when they service the car. I am disgusted and regret every minute to have bought this car. I think they might as well keep it. Where do I find this kind of money, never budgeted for it because I never expected this from a brand new car. I am very much dissappointed.
