Offer to purchase signed on vehicle,sold to anothe

On Friday 6 March 2015 I have signed an offer to purchase on a Toyota Corolla with the salesman Jean. I went to Standard Bank, where I am a staff member, to apply for Hire Purchase. Due to circumstances<br> beyond my control, there was a delay at the bank.Only this morning I was told that the bank has approved my application. When I phoned Jean to advise him, he told me that the vehicle has already been sold to someone else who made a cash offer. No effort has been made to inform me or te enquire about the outcome of my application.
