new Toyota Urban Cruiser with grinding noise

Bought a new Toyota Urban Cruiser from Toyota. There is a engine noise (grinding) that can be heard sometimes when driving the vehicle. I did take it back to Toyota and they say that this noise is coming from the exhaust and the vehicle is operating normally as it sounds similar to other Urban Cruisers.
