Market Toyota Beaufort West Takes advantage of clients!

Market Toyota Beaufort West! My dad purchased a Jeep Cherokee in 2015 and he has had problem after problem with no proper assistance from Market Toyota Beaufort West. He was told it was problem-free (which he soon discovered was a lie), that it was a CRD LIMITED (which it is NOT), that it is a 2006 model (which it is NOT! - 2005 model) but the amount of money he has spent to repair on it has accumu to R60 000! He was offered a service by Kobus from Market Toyota but not at a viable specialist but a “friend” that could do it. It came back worse than before with problems on the gears as they had put the WRONG oil in the gearbox! For my dad fix that it cost him R30 000 out of his own pocket. To replace the breaks cost him R14000. My dad looks after his vehicles like they are gold. He has had a Toyota Condor for the past 17years and it drives like a brand new car, not having to repair a thing!!

We believe that Kobus and the salesman Hennie at Market Toyota Beaufort West have taken advantage of my father as he is a pensioner, he suffers from cancer in his throat which has resulted in him not being able to speak and he has always wanted a Jeep and thought this was the dream car he had been waiting for.

A month ago, the Jeep switched off as my dad was driving 8pm at night (which is already dangerous as he is elderly and ill), and to this day he has contacted Kobus and Hennie with NO ASSISTANCE whatsoever. He cannot keep paying for something that has given him so many problems after he bought it thinking it was good as new, and receiving dismal service from Market Toyota Beaufort West. To this day this vehicle is standing in my dad’s yard - DEAD. He cannot spend any more money and insurance cover to fix it. He has contacted Kobus and Hennie to either replace the vehicle or fix it with no charge to him. He has been unfairly treated and it has resulted in high stress levels which has caused his cancer to flare up and intensified his pain. Please please please see the wrong in this and find a way to help him. I cannot stand by and watch him being taken advantage of like this.
