Lack of ethical practice

My wife sent out an email and negotiated a price for a vehicle Monday 16 March 2015. The salesmans responded via email that evening. My wife called early Tuesday morning 17 March and indicated that she is happy with the price and vehicle. The salesman indicated that he will drive the vehicle to Gauteng. We agreed that we will complete the necessary paperwork on Wednesday 18 March since I was returning from being out of the country.

The salesman phoned on Tuesday thereafter indicating that the vehcile was now sold.

I expected a higher standard from Toyota. They should have called the first person and indicated to them to sign a document to purchase the car and inform the second person of whats going on. All in all, being ethical will win you more clients.

The manager from Toyota phoned and apologized. I suppose I just expected Toyota not to be like any second hand car dealer but I was wrong. I will not look at the brand in the same way again.
