Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) - Disgraceful Attitude !!!

Based on my recent aftersales experience with the Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) on the Automark side of the business I will never ever buy another vehicle from this dealership ever again, nor recommend that anyone else deal with them. After buying a small car for my daughter (student at Tuks) from Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) I discovered, 2 months later, that the 2 back tyres are totally different brands and have totally different tread patterns. I live in KZN and this car was bought for my daughter who is a student at TUKs (Pretoria), due to this I have only had a chance look at this vehicle in closer detail while she is home in KZN for the mid year break. All literature, and the tyre dealers, note that having 2 different tyres on either the front or back of the vehicle is dangerous especially in wet weather. I raised this issue with Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) and they insisted that I had sufficient time to inspect the vehicle and besides this they are now shifting the blame to DEKRA, an independent inspection body who inspected the vehicle and noted no issues and I am now to take this issue up with DEKRA. Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) are also questioning why it has taken me +-2 months, since buying the car, to notice this problem and raise it with them when I noticed a few other interior issues that I raised with them with a few days of taking delivery of the car. Aside from this issue, Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) charged me around R6000 for license and registration costs leaving me to stand in the que at a KZN vehicle licensing office, pay for the licensing costs, arrange new number plates (re-registered from GP to KZN), pay for the new number plates and have these number plates installed. What did I pay the R6000 for ??? When I raised this point with them I was told that this was a standard fee that the "system" generates that could not be negotiated and I simply had to pay this irrespective whether the car was registered in Gauteng, where they would do all of this covered by the R6000 fee, or if it is registered elsewhere where they leave it up to the new owner to sort out. Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) seem to have a smart answer for everything (using choice language to express themselves from time to time), hide behind "system" inflexibility, point a blaming finger at the customer or plead ignorance and innocence and shift the blame. Gezina Toyota (Pretoria) is a disgrace to the Toyota name, I am an avid Toyota fan having owned 5 Toyota vehicles since 1999 so I know what to expect from Toyota and this type of aftersales service is definitely not what I expect from a dealership bearing the Toyota name.
