Failure of Safety Features

I bought a Hilux Toyota GR 2025 Model . One of the reason I bought this range, actually not cheap was that I made to believe the range of safety features on this range. I paid was willing to pay a premium given the safety features .

I hit a donkey and the there was extensive damage on the front , yet the the air bags did not deploy.- My question is when do this safety feature deploy ? This was a serious impact one should expect the air bags to deploy.

My issue is that I the features I paid for do not exist . I feel cheated , this car has does not possess the features I was made to believe exist. If these feature ms dint exist why did I pay a premium...I would have bought something else at a lower price .
