I am really dissatisfied with the service I have recieved regarding the warranty on my 2022 model Toyota Landcruiser Prado 4.0 V6. The vehicle has done only 15800kms and the complete rear braking system has failed and is fully corroded. The vehicle advertises that it can even handle in some deep river crossings as it supposed to be the best 4X4 on the market and I have not even tried crossing a river yet but the braking system is already corroded. I would have never expected in my life to pay 1.3 Million Rands for a vehicle that is made so cheaply. Toyota Edwin Swales does not want to step up and take responsibility to have this issue sorted out yet they only insist on me to pay to have it sorted which I’m not willing to do. I’ve been to their competitor and believe me that the deal they offering me with their new 4X4 vehicles seems much more interesting and I’m utterly disgusted with the response from Toyota. I want my Vehicle to be sorted out by Toyota and I am not willing to fit any additional bill. Toyota supposed to be one of the largest car companies around yet I’m being treated like I purchased my vehicle from a ****a shop. I am willing to take this matter up with the ombudsman as I feel as if I have been ****** and 1.3 Million Rands is not a small amount of money to spend on a vehicle that doesn’t even have any protective coatings on their so called 4X4 suspension which I wasn’t even informed about prior to my purchase. I will await feedback kindly but will not allow Toyota to over rule me in this situation as I have also seeker legal advise which I will commence with should this issue not be resolved at the soonest.
