Clutch under one year and 17000km

Hello

We bought a Toyota Dyna a year ago on the 20/06/2018 and it has under 17000km on the clock and last week Thursday the clutch of the truck broke. I phoned the number in the service book, (looks like the number from the dealer that the truck was bought from) and they said that it might be a warranty/ guarantee claim seeing it is under one year.

I phoned the Hino agent in George and they said it is a wear and tear part and that it doesn't fall under the warranty/ guarantee.

Could someone please get me the right information so that I could give feedback to my Head Office.
