Car broke down after service at Toyota West Rand

My car broke down 1 month after servicing it at Toyota West Rand. Dealer claim it is because my oil pump packed up. Iron and aluminium shavings were found inside the sump. My question: if the car was serviced why did the technician not check the oil? Also. We found a loose bolt inside my engine cabinet.
