Bad Service/Passing the Buck
Registration No: YSJ193GP. Toyota Prius

My car is now due for a 120,000km service. I contacted Monument Toyota Constantia in Weltevredenpark regarding my Service Plan that Toyota should have upgraded to 195000km (from 90000km). Toyota Customer Care *** refers. Query resolved by Aaron Mlambo - 22 May 2014.

I spoke to Khanitha to find out whether on the system the service plan was upgraded to 195,000km. She asked for my VIN number. I tracked the VIN and phoned her back. She checked on the system and advised that it had not been upgraded to 195,000km, as promised by Toyota last year!

Khanitha was very unhelpful, and was not willing to assist me in resolving my query. She referred me to Jonathan the new car sales manager. She transferred me but the call dropped.

Khanitha did not even attempt to assist me in sorting this out. Instead of taking my details down and getting someone to phone me back, she transferred me to another person.

Julian Visagie, the dealer principal should teach his staff the Toyota Way - which is not passing the buck, but instead to help customers properly. To date, I have purchased about 6 cars from this dealership!
