Bad service and Customer care
My experience with the Toyota Kuruman branch was extremely unsatisfactory. My 2019 Toyota Aygo was on a breakdown due to the petrol pump packing up. I had to have it towed from Hotezel to Kuruman to have it repaired. I have an extended warranty which I pay for each month and covered the repairs. Appointment ***, 26 May 2022. the scary and very disappointing part here-of was I was told they had to throw in R400.00 petrol into my car to see if the pump works due to it being empty, which I did and paid. After I received my car they confirmed with the service provided everything is done and ready on 01/06/2022. I noticed my car only showed I can travel 279km until empty. my car is very light on fuel should have said around 350-400km. I drove back to work in hotezel and planned to go home on 02/06/2022. That morning I stopped at the Puma garage outside Kuruman and asked the petrol attendant to fill up while I go and buy drinks for the long road to Johannesburg where I live. After a few minutes, the petrol attendant ran into the shop to call me, telling me the car is leaking petrol, When I got to the car there was petrol everywhere, I had to pay R900 for a tank where I usually pay R700.00. I had to go home so I drove home and arranged with Fourways Toyota near my home to please check my car on 04/06/2022. ***. They informed me that there was a part missing that the Kuruman had to install with the new pump which they hadn't. so I had to pay R100,00 for the warranty claimed part myself. after that, the Fourways branch said the car is perfect and I can come and collect it. So I did. then on the 5th of June, I went to the petrol station to fill up my car and then once again the petrol attendant called me and said the car is leaking petrol another R900.00 tank. with no luck or remorse, I had to pay that as well. so I had to drive my car ****m reeking of petrol scared for my life to pass a burning bush that would let my car catch fire etc. and had to drive back on the 10th of June 2022 for another appointment on the 11/06/2022 at Fourways Toyota check what is wrong with my car. ***. And low and behold the problem was the tank's gasket at the top, this was spent so had to replace this luckily Toyota has people Like Wayne working for them that did this free of charge. So I complained twice about Toyota's follow-up calls *** & *** and until today 16/06/2022 I have received no follow-up calls, apologies, or any compensation for my unnecessary expenses. This makes me sad, I am loyal to Toyota as are my company and family but this will definitely deter me away from Toyota if this is the way this matter remains unresolved.
