Threaten with adding insurance on my HP
Good day,<br> <br> I am aware that I must have insurance on my vehicle and I have sent proof of this when I signed my contract. I know (fine print) that Toyota Finance has the right to ask for proof BUT why must an insurance company phone me to enquire if I am insured (WHY NOT TOYOTA FINANCE as my contract is with them). I am aware that Hollard is also one of the companies that Toyota Finance has contracted to do this on their behalf. Now here is what I don't understand, I am insured by Hollard so why did Toyota Finance not just ask Hollard if I am still covered. <br> <br> If I have to do this for all contracts that I have signed I might as well resign and just spend my time on that. OK then we will have a problem as I will not be able to pay for all the contracts. I think the companies think we sit at work waiting for their calls so that we can help them do THEIR jobs. This is what happens if we take People out of the equations to save money by doing everything electronically (which is not always a bad thing). The problem is that Systems cant always connect the dots if they are not programmed to do so.<br>

We have made contact with you and have explained the need to confirm proof of insurance with you. We have also explained that with Direct Axis being mandated by Toyota Financial Services to obtain your latest insurance detail, they do not have access to your Toyota Financial Services account for security purposes to establish with whom who you were insured at point of sale. We are currently in the process of looking at a more streamlined process to make this initiative as simple and effective as possible and have less frustration caused to our valued customers in future.
