Switching Owner Details On Car Licence Records
In June 2014 we purchased a used car from the Monument Toyota Dealership in Hillfox/Weltevreden Park. In the registration process they managed to change my wife's name on the e-natis system. Toyota Finance acknowledges it was their fault, but appear unable or unwilling to try to correct the error. Instead they expect us to take time off work and sort it out ourselves. It is now 7 months in the process and the problem remains. Despite promises from Toyota Finance there is no progress and there is no evidence they are even trying. There is also no response from the customer services support e-mail address advertised on the Toyota website.

The sales consultant, Mr Andre Combrinck, tried to convince my wife that it is not a serious issue and that she could just let it go. At the same time he was asking for good references as he was hoping to win the national salesman of the year award with Toyota. He now no longer responds to phone calls or e-mails.

We advise potential buyers to be wary of using this dealership and in particular be careful in dealing with Mr Combrinck and the finance department.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
The registration process is done at the dealership, therefore we have brought this matter to their attention to work on a resolution.
A Toyota Financial Services consultant has contacted you to advise that measurements has been put in place to resolve this matter.
