Poor service from Toyota no matter how hard you try
I have been trying for the past 3 months to get TFS to supply me with the paperwork required to transfer my late brother's car out of the estate. The car was paid off 5 years before his death. Upon trying to settle his estate, it came to light the vehicle was never registered in his name. So, as you do, you write to the company that did the finance. TFS. My experience up to this point was already dreadful because I sold my car and just trying to get documents from them was pure hell.
Imagine trying to do this when you are the executor of an estate, with the last thing to do is to transfer the car out of his name. The car has been sold, the new owner needs the papers and the estate is now in limbo because it can't be closed till all is settled. It is terrible enough to lose a loved one, but to then have to deal with the incompetencies of companies that claim to be wonderful, but simpy are not is frustrating.
22 e-mails later (they do not answer their phones) and even though they made me pay the R57 courier fee to have the papers delivered, still no papers and still no letter confirming that there is nothing left on the account.
Perhaps the complaint is not only against TFS, because we all know that Wesbank and TFS have a joint venture. Somewhere between the tow companies, they have forgotten that there are real people on the other end of the line.
Do not contact me on the SA number. I am no longer residing in SA, it's just too hard to get service there from anyone - public or private. E-mail is the only way.
