MISLEADING STATEMENTS!

I RECEIVED MY LAST MONTHLY STATEMENT FROM TOYOTA FINANCE ON THE 11TH OF SEPTEMBER STATING MY OUTSATNDING CAPITAL BALANCE IS R2119.18 MY LAST DEBIT ORDER SET FOR 25 OF SEPTEMBER DEDUCTED R3499. WHEN I QUERIED THIS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, I SPOKE TO VUYISWA I DID NOT GET ANY HELP REALLY. HE JUST SENT ME A DETAILED STATEMENT. MY ISSUE IS WHY DO YOU MISLEAD YOUR CUSTOMERS TO SAY YOUR OUTSTANDING BALANCE IS R2119.18 WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO DEDUCT MORE THAN THAT? SUCH SHADY DEALINGS!

Hello Masiche7,

Thank you for raising your concerns with us. We were unable to reach you telephonically and have sent you an e-mail with our direct contact details.

Your monthly statement reflects a detailed breakdown of your agreement e.g. the instalment amount, the actual contract balance, the outstanding capital balance etc. on a monthly basis. Finance charges are charged on a monthly basis and deducted on the agreed instalment amount. The instalment amount consist of a capital portion and finance charges, therefore the instalment amount as per your statement collected and not just the capital portion.

We trust that you find this in order.

Kind regards,
WesBank
