Hello Huldabotha,

Thank you for bringing your observations to our attention once again and affording us the opportunity to address this issue comprehensively.

According to our records, the debit order in question that was due in July 2008 was only paid in February 2009 and as such, the internal record of default is correct. Even though the credit bureau would no longer reflect the outstanding payment because the bureaus are updated every 24 months from the date of incident, we reserve the right to retain records indefinitely to enable us to exercise enhanced due diligence for commercial purposes. This means that any applications that interface with any FirstRand Bank affiliated system may require manual intervention from the respective regional manager with the possibility of an override before the same is considered after scoring the deal.

We appreciate that this can be an imposition however this cannot be negated or circumvented in lieu of what has transpired.

We trust that this is in order and assure you of best intentions at all times.

Yours faithfully,

Toyota Financial Services
