BROKEN CLIENT

Greetings. I write this report or review in the greatest amount of anguish. The amount of grief I have suffered from Toyota is harrowing. My experience started like everyone else, seeing their dream car online and engaging with the dealership in making it a reality. I saw a Chevrolet Corsa 1.8 Bakkie online and had my brother contacted the dealership and communicated with a guy called Johan(who'd prove to be the antagonist). He advised my brother I deposit an amount of money 'to hold the vehicle', cause it was in demand. I did exactly that. Once I had purchased the vehicle, which was in Vredendal, near Saldhana Bay by the way. Driving back to KZN, 10km away we called the salesman Johan about the spare key and service book. He assured us that we would get them via courier and insisted there was no need to turn back. We kept it moving. We were so captivated and consumed by excitement that we had forgotten about the missing service book and spare key. We called Johan and he co-operated, saying he'd courier them to us. Weeks later & no book or key & no answer when I called me. I called the dealership through their 027 number and they kept telling me that the manager was not in. I'm a working person & when you work, you forget. 5 months later still no word from Toyota. I decided to call their customer care services and inform them of my dissatisfaction at the hands of Vredendal Toyota. Toyota attended the matter, the lady that assisted me was Ms Nomvula Ngqulunga. She was nice and understanding at first but I was aware that she was trained for such incidences. She got through to Vredendal Toyota and they listened at first and Johan claimed that the courier company got to the wrong address & it was my fault they claimed. They were now going to send them to right address, apparently. Mind you that I had taken the car for servicing and needed it stamped. Weeks went by and still no movement, I felt helpless ? and drained. I was infuriated at how a company as big as Toyota could treat customers this way. I informed them that they were losing a customer that was going to upgrade to a Hilux but was NOT CONSIDERING THAT OPTION AGAIN. Still no word from Vredendal Toyota & Toyota. Riaan the new manager at the time was promising but later succumbed to siding with his salesman and proved no helped when he was rude to my brother Mac on the phone. When I made a thread on twitter about the matter tagging the Toyota handle, Ms Ngqulunga called me concerned. I was so ****ed off, I spent hard earned money for this vehicle and for you to treat me like this, we're honestly going to fight. In November finally, my package arrived but with the wrong key. This was not my spare key. Only God knows who's vehicle had no spare key because it wrongfully and carelessly sent to me by Vredendal Toyota. I've spent the remainder of the year trying to get my spare key & still no answer from Johann Compion & Toyota. Their service is putrid, and by their high standards appalling. I feel paralysed, one man against a huge corporation such as Toyota. To say I'm unsatisfied is an understatement. I'm broken and hurt, emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially. I resent Johann and Toyota with the highest sense of discontent. #DONOTBUYTOYOTA!!!! #DONOTBUYTOYOTA
