Abused by Toyota Finance and it's car dealership Pretoria
Morning
i am writing this email to you with hopes that you and your listeners will be able to assist me with my issue with a car dealer in Pretoria called Toyota Gezina i need to cancel this contact. in October i went to their shop and i made trade with a Polo vivo 2016 model with their NP200 1.6i 2016 model which they described it as ********** 0 when i was communicating with the insurance, however on the financial bank side and their tracking device which they installed on the car they specified it as Nissan NP200 1.6 SE P/U S/Ua which is specification for a high model.
I realized this discrepancy last Saturday on the 08th of December when i wanted to do a trad in at another dealer for a difference car, when they requested a settlement letter from West bank they said the car specified on the bank documents is not the car i am driving, so i went to Nissan and inquired about this issue and the consultant did confirm that my car is a base line. meaning that it is not the model they have described on the documents. i communicated with dealer on the same day giving them my issue and they promised to contact me on Monday, during the on Monday i mean i called the sales manager as they were not getting back to me and i was impatient, i explained to the sales manager my issue again and he confirmed that he is made aware of the matter, so i should give him time to investigate, then he will come back to me with feedback during the week.
The following day which was Tuesday the 11th of December he called and said that he agrees that there is a misrepresentation of the goods and what they can do on their side is to send an amendment letter to change the description of the vehicle on as they are no financial implication. i refused to take the deal as wanted to cancel the contract with them due to that i am not happy with how they have handled the matter and he tried to force me into excepting the change and stating that i have no other choice, so we did not agree as i have already noticed that the description place a huge role in the financial plane of the car.
I then contacted the bank being west bank and gave them my story, they registered my query with the complains department and a lady be the name of Wiesaal Sallie contacted me the very same day and i explained to her that i am not happy with the service i received from they dealer interns of the description of the car and her said please give us time to investigate and we will come to you before Friday with feedback. after speaking with the bank i wrote an email to the dealership informing the management of the issue i am facing, the mail was send ********** ********** CC ********** and the sales manager **********
then on the very same day being Tuesday i received an email from ********** the General manager the email is quoted below.

Good day Mr Madiga,
I am aware of the mistake on our invoice and we are rectifying it as we speak. It is a mere mistake on the paperwork. The vehicle that was sold to you, with all the features intact is indeed the vehicle you are driving and using since the start of the contract.
Unfortunately we will not be able to cancel this transaction as it is a binding contract between yourself and the bank.
Please be advised that the paperwork to fix the model description on your contract is attached – Kindly sign and send it back to me.
As I mentioned before, this is a mere mistake that slipped in on the paperwork and will be rectified immediately.

I did not respond to their solution as it does not accommodate me and i feel very much bul**** and coerced into making a decision that only caters for them. today which is Friday the 14th of December i followed up on my issue with finance and they told me that they told the dealer to investigate and they are happy with the resolution of the dealer to to change the description of the vehicle as they have sold me the right product with the right amount and issue is to except the the change and move on, as they will not except my request to cancel the contract as there are no mechanical or electrical faults on the car, so i must expect the deal, with all this said the lady refused to draft the findings of their investigation on paper and send to me, but she refused to send as she claims that the dealers response is their response, so i forced her to send me feedback via email and below is what she sand to me.
