Unprofessional and will NOT give you a refund even if they are at fault

I had an eye test and paid for three pairs of glasses up front in the amount of R10 000. When I collected my glasses however, they all clearly had the wrong prescription. I couldn't see out of any of them. Although greatly inconvenienced, I agreed to have another eye test done. I arrived for my appointment and the optometrist had forgotten about my appointment or there was no record of my appointment. I asked for a full refund as I desperately needed glasses and after my poor experience, I was not going to continue with them. I was contacted by head office a few days later and initially they acknowledged their mistake, but when I insisted that I wanted a refund, it was denied. I tried for an entire year to have my money refunded to me but I was ignored. It then became an issue that their internal optometrist board would look into to see if it was in fact the optometrist's fault or not which was no longer the issue. I paid a large amount of my savings for my glasses, which I did not receive and they were refusing to refund me. It didn't matter if their optometrist did not have the necessary skills. That is an internal issue and not something their customers should be beholden to. I ended up paying lawyers to send a letter of demand but I still have not received my refund. I went to Brill in Paarl and they were amazing and professional and I had my glasses in 1 week. Do NOT ever go to Torga.
