Terrible services and huge lack of administration and confidentiality of your patient file

My experience at Torga Optical Table Bay Mall was extremely frustrating and disappointing. My prescription was misplaced, and I had to undergo eye tests three separate times due to poor record-keeping. I started with trial contact lenses, but staff couldn’t confirm which lenses had been given to me.

To make matters worse, my file was sent to Johannesburg without my consent—even though I’m based in Cape Town. Every time I called, I was given a different explanation by staff who seemed unaware of what was going on.

Initially, I was charged R7,000 for my glasses. After raising multiple concerns, the price was suddenly dropped by over R2,000, which raised more questions about their pricing transparency.

Overall, this experience was disorganized and unprofessional. I would not recommend this branch unless significant improvements are made in communication, data handling, and customer services.
