Bad workmanship

Paid for an eye test and bought new glasses for my husband last year in May 2023 at Torga Optical Wonderpark Pretoria. A ***** broke off in the frame and I took the spectacles back to have the ***** replaced. I was advised that they could not replace the ***** because it had broken off, I would have to purchase a new frame and have the lenses cut to fit. This would be at a cost of about R1200 for my account. I do not see why I should have to pay for poor workmanship. Very disappointed as other opticians offer free repairs on spectacles purchased.
