Don't do business with Top CARPETS

Top Carpets West Rand was assigned to replace my floors after n burst water pipe flooded half my home. After struggling for 4 MONTHS to get my floors dry enough to pour the screed, putting industrial fans on the floors and putting extra moisture barriers, they decided to proceed with the installation. I was told that I can install vinyl in my home and it would prevent future insurance claims. I had to pay thousands in addition to the insured amount as vinyl is expensive.

A few weeks after they left, the vinyl started forming moisture bubbles. I have had them out to my property a few times over the past year where they blamed: 1. The manufacturer of the adhesive for the vinyl 2. A fountain under my home (not true?) 3. Water pipes leaking under my foundation (disproven by insurance leak detection team) 4. Rising damp, aka customer problem.

After the Head office representative came to my house this year, he told me that I was at fault for choosing vinyl floors, seeing that my house is below street level and bound to have moisture issues. This golden piece of information was given after 30 mins on my premises, which the installers could not provide in 4 months of struggling to get the floors dry?!

They are refusing to take responsibility for 1. Giving the wrong advice ito flooring 2. Proceeding with an installation whilst moisture was evident

They are the floor experts.. they knew what issues to look out for. They should have provided flooring advice which they didn't, even after struggling with the moisture for 4 months.
