Shocking service at Tipples, Onrus

After spending 3 hours of our afternoon in the restaurant, 3 meals and drinks (more than R400 bill), I asked for a glass of water to drink tablets. The waiter, and two of his colleagues informed me that they were under order of management not to give tap water, I needed to order bottled water. They could give no reasonable explanation for this, simply giving me 'because management said so. I am in that area often enough to know that the tap water is perfectly safe. And their explanation for refusing to serve me a glass, is totally nonsense. I used to go there for pizza when I was in the area. Although the food was okay, this simple refusal of a completely reasonable request, has left such a bad taste in my mouth, that I will never set foot in that restaurant again. I wonder if the owner is aware of his management's ridiculous orders.
