Timberland Boot Tear

I purchased a Splitrock Timberland boot from the Clearwater Mall. About 3 weeks later I noticed that the stitching on the outside near the laces was coming lose. I took the boot back to the store and they said that they would send it in for repairs. I was not happy with stitching it back as the stitching would never be the same as the original, but Thandi assured me that there would be no difference. A few weeks later she called me to confirm that the boot has been repaired. When I got to the store, there was a distinct difference and I was not happy. I asked the lady to replace the boot, but was later called and told that this boot is no longer available. They offered me the new stock, but because I bought the boot when it was on sale I need to fork out additional cash to purchase the new range. I feel that this is unacceptable as this is a quality issue and not a price issue. Why should I pay more for poor workmanship? I feel that the boot should be replaced with the same boot or another product similar to this boot. I purchased a Timberland because it is a named brand and we expect quality and great after service, not for the boot to be taken to a local shoe repair shop.
