Shocking service

So about 2 weeks ago I went into timberland in Canal walk and put 2 timberland boots on lay bye, yesterday I went into the store to change the one boot, not refund just change for another item in the store.. I got into the store at 8:45pm and was told that I'm coming to the store too late and that they have the right to refuse to sell me the shie should i cancel the lay bye- but this was not my intention. " there are other people who would want to buy this shoes cash but it was your choice to lay bye" this was now said to me by "Mariam" apparently the timberland area manager who was just so utterly rude... I cannot believe that a brand who are supposed to be so well oiled has such rude people working for them.. what happened to customer first.. what happened to going thr extra mile.. I was treated like dirt in that store with attitude from the instore rep and the "area manager". I just felt like crying with utter disbelief that these people had no common courtesy or respect.

Very very bad timberland.????
