Poor Quality on Junior sizes boots

Hello Peter, I am reaching out to request your assistance regarding a pair of Timberland boots I purchased in 2021 at the Woodmead store. I’ve only worn the boots fewer than five times, and they remain in very good condition overall. However, I recently noticed that the brown upper part of the boots has started to tear, which is quite disappointing given their limited use.

When I visited the store to seek clarity on the matter, I was informed that I had purchased a pair from the kids’ range, and that these are typically of “lesser quality” and more affordable. I explained that I had chosen the kids' boots not because of price, but because the ladies’ sizes did not fit me. I also mentioned that I still own a pair of Timberland boots I bought for my daughter in 2004, as well as another pair I purchased for my sister the same year, both pairs are still in good condition and not tearing. They will still be worn by generation and generational. This raised the question for me, has the quality of Timberland products changed?

I firmly believe that quality should be consistent across all age ranges. If a product carries the Timberland name, regardless of whether it’s for children or adults, customers should be able to expect a certain standard of durability and craftsmanship.

The store assistant offered to take photos and send a note to the head office. However, I don't have the details of what was written on the note. A few days later, I was told that the boots would not be repaired or replaced as they are outside of the warranty.

I’m reaching out in good faith, hoping you might be able to assist further. The boots are in excellent condition aside from the tearing, and I truly believe only Timberland would be best suited to assess and possibly restore/replace them.
