Company unfair to its customers
My fiancé bought a pair of shoes from Timberland Carlton centre as a gift for me while I was away. When she sent me the pic of the shoe I noticed I had purchased the same pair in Qatar (where the customer service is way better than in SA). I asked her to go exchange the shoes and at least get me T-shirt’s. Unfortunately she misplaced the receipt but the shoes have never been worn and still in their box. The manager at Carlton centre rudely refused to help and didn’t bother asking higher management if something can be done. I then came back 3 days ago , tried to go reason with the manager there and was told the same thing. Nothing can be done to help me. I called their head office and the manager there (Buhle) told me nothing can be done and no one can help. I find that to be a bad way to do business considering I’m only asking for an exchange and not a refund. I thought Timberland’s company mission is to do “good business” in every community the company operates. Being told nothing can be done to help is not being good to customers because in business there’s always something that can be done to help the customer. I’m very disappointed in Carlton centre Management and the headoffice for not even trying to help me. Half my wardrobe is Timberland items and its so unfair that this one time that I need their help, nothing can be done to help me!!!!
